Deer Hunt 2021

Kyle didn't draw a tag this year, but Kelly did so we still went camping for the deer hunt. Last camping trip of the season! The weather was perfect.

Kohen found a rock to sit on and enjoy his backwashed water bottle while the other two played some frisbee with Dad and Grandpa. Tai the fashionista.

Kasen and Tai liked playing with Wayne and Wayne liked barking at the cows. Yes, another camping trip hanging out with the cows!

I spent Friday night washing and brushing baby Elsa's hair per Tai's request. Even though I told her it wasn't a great idea to bring her camping cause she'd get dirty. I don't know if I love or hate being right because while taking pictures Tai accidentally dumped a scoop of dirt right on her doll's head...

All these years I've gone on the deer hunt with Kyle's family, I've never been there when anyone had filled their tag. I told them I must be bad luck, But this year the curse was broken! Which was especially surprising because the night before Kelly got his deer, a cute 91 year old man visited our camp and told us that he hadn't seen a single deer or elk on those mountains the entire summer. Kyle just must be good luck cause he went with Melanie on her elk hunt last month too and she got one on the first day too!

We ate tin foil dinners for dinner and Grandpa made everyone hot chocolate! Kasen says he wants to live with Grandpa cause he's so nice. 

That night we played some games in Kelly's trailer. We went back to our trailer just in time too cause Tai threw up ALL OVER her bed. It looked like she'd eaten like 5 cans of chili. So when I got home my first time using our new washer and dryer was to wash all of the vomit covered bedding!

Poor Kohen is way too big for the Bumbo, but anything that keeps the mess contained just a little bit more is worth it.
