THIS is mom life: kids always on you, touching you, smooshing you, smashing you and telling you that they're starving.
That and driving them all around.
This is Thursday.
Tai goes to Preschool from 12-2:30, then dance from 3:30-4:15 then soccer. Now that spring soccer started, they have both practices and separate games during the week sometimes, instead of just on Saturdays like in the fall. And it's feeling crazy. On Thursdays she has more outfit changes than a missionary at the MTC! But at her game she scored a goal! It was so great. At Kasen's games Tai has learned how to yell, "Kasen! KASEN! Go help your team!" cause he just spins around and never goes after the ball. I told him I'd give him a dollar if he scores a goal.
The last Saturday of March was insane too because; 3 photography jobs, 2 soccer games, 1 baby shower and 1 birthday party. Somehow everyone made it to everything! High five Kyle!
Then the next day Tai gave a talk in primary and I taught young women's. And this week I hosted book club, took Mom Annette out to breakfast for her birthday hosted a YW meeting at my house, donated blood and hosted a family dinner today.
Kyle let me know that he worked 50 hours in 3 days this week... I KNOW KYLE, I KNOW!
We've been able to start playing at the parks again though too! Kohen loves the swings, Tai loves the swings, Kohen loves to go down the biggest slide on his belly over and over and then finds the biggest rocks he can lift to fight over with Bryson. He loves seeing dogs at the park and standing up on the swing even after he falls backwards off of it.
I've never heard him laugh as hard as when he was swinging in our basement swing and Kyle pretended that Kohen was kicking him. He thought it was hilarious!
And when we go for walks he finds sticks to then use as his dinner fork...(more reasons why my kids get sick.) It's interesting that Kohen is technically allergic to milk and cheese because it's all he ever wants to eat. He eats Alfredo pasta faster than anyone I've seen. When we made homemade pizza rolls, he picks off the roll to just eat the cheese. If he sees someone eating string cheese he throws a fit until he gets an entire one all to himself, and when the kids get ranch with their chicken nuggets he screams for a "dih" (dip).
So I finally gave him some Ranch and he ditched the nuggets and just licked all the ranch off his plate. He eats anything cheesey faster and more completely than any other thing I give him. How can I deprive him of something he loves so much?!
Scratching his belly is worth not hearing him scream and cry right?
Can't wait to slow down a little bit this next week during spring break!
