We had a wonderful Easter weekend that started on Friday, with a quick Easter walk through this farm in Alpine.
It's the same place we came to see the Live Nativity at Christmas time a few years ago, but this was the first year I'd heard of this Easter walk. I love that there were scriptures and music to set the tone.
I felt the Spirit so strong when we went inside the empty tomb together and talked about the linen cloth. I had chills telling the kids that on Sunday morning the stone was rolled away, His burial clothes were left and the tomb was empty. He is risen! I know that my Redeemer lives. And because He lives, we can have hope.
Yesterday we dyed Easter eggs together and it was a party! I always think these types of activities will be good practice for following instructions and soon realize that my kids don't know how to follow instructions...
We started Kohen off with some stickers, but he soon busted into his egg to eat it instead. I had no idea how much of the egg shells he was actually eating, but today his diapers have been full of egg shells. So sorry Kohen.
One of the unicorn kits we bought had stuff to make foam dye, so we tried that for the first time! Kyle was a much bigger fan than Kasen and Tai were though. Kasen didn't even want to try it.
That cup of blue dye ended up spilling. This cup of green dye- also ended up spilling.
Kasen and Tai loved the sleeves that came in the egg dye kits. Tai stayed to color egg longer than Kasen did, she was loving the colors and the glitter and the sleeves.
Favorite eggs!
Sunday morning we woke up to see what the Easter Bunny brought.
But first we finished our Easter countdown tradition of opening the last egg. The empty egg, reminding us of the empty tomb.
Kohen was rocking the Easter egg hunt this year! In Christmas jammies. Haha
I was wearing my FRIENDS pajamas that say "I'll be there for you" and Tai let me know that they are good Easter pajamas because Jesus is always there for us.
Kohen got his very own sand shovel, so he doesn't need to fight with Collins when we go camping and Tai got a hat so now she can stop telling me that everyone in our family has a hat except her.
Kasen's favorite gifts were his Dogman books, Pikachu and a watch, since he can tell time now!
We also got a fun toss and catch game that we played with today. I was super impressed with how well Tai was catching the ball too. We had a good streak going when she caught the ball 8 times in a row!
While I was making German pancakes for breakfast, Kasen and Tai shared way too many peeps with Kohen. I set him in his highchair to eat breakfast and he threw up pink all over his tray!
He's a big fan of Tai's hat and boots too.
I liked our Easter program at church today. This year it was similar to the Christmas program where the Easter story was narrated with musical numbers in between.
Jack and Melanie came to visit after church and gave the kids Easter gifts. Then we had dinner before Kyle had to go to work for the night.
"But I know this, of all His miracles the most incredible must be the miracle that rescues me."
So grateful for a Savior. Happy Easter.

Love it. Such happy memories.
