Over the weekend we had tickets to the Ute Stampede Rodeo in Nephi so we decided to go camp a couple days up Nephi Canyon while we were at it! Hayden and Karissa just bought a trailer so they came and camped with us one of the nights too.
Kyle is the breakfast master with his camp chef! He made breakfast sandwiches with bagels the first morning and hash brown hash the next morning.
We taught Kasen how to play the dice game (Farkle) and he was loving it! We played dice Thursday night and Friday morning and at one point Tai set up her matching game and I was playing the matching game with Tai and the dice game with Kasen at the same time.
Kohen will not keep his shoes on and when we ask him where his shoes are he gives us a shoulder shrug. So he was filthy dirty cause it was mostly dirt and dust where we were.
He's just so cute.
Coloring on papers and finding big sticks to carry around.
Thursday night we walked across the road to fish in the stream. And then realized the smell of death was coming from a dead cow in the water. So Friday afternoon we drove down the road to a small pond to fish and had MUCH more success! The fish were jumping like CRAZY! I've never seen so many fish jumping. 3 at a time would jump, then one after another. The kids quit counting after seeing like 14 jump in just a couple minutes. And Kyle was catching them quick enough to keep the kids interested and fighting over who got to scoop it up in the net.
Kasen wanted to keep them, but Kyle said only if they were a decent size. So every fish he caught, "Is it a decent size?! Is it a decent size?!" We ended up bringing 2 home to eat.
Then that night we went with Kelly to the Rodeo!
Krista went down to the bathroom with all the girls and they ran into some cowgirls that gave out picture cards. They loved it!
Kasen on the other hand was heartbroken because he was most excited to see the motorcycles at the end and they weren't there this year.
Back at camp on Saturday morning, the girls played in the dirt and ended up collecting all the pieces of glass that people have left. Which was a whole bucket full! It got so hot though and we didn't have much shade at all. So after a game of Phase 10 we all packed up and headed home.
