Bye House

We took the kids to the Taylorsville Temple open house this month and I think it's in my top 3 favorite Utah Temples now. It is so beautiful!

Later that night I hosted Book Club, but Taylor and Heidi were the only ones able to come and neither of them read the book, but we still had fun chatting till 11pm! That Sunday I spent all day in the kitchen. I made German Pancakes for breakfast, spaghetti for lunch circus animal cracker cookies for book club the next day and then invited all the neighbors on a neighborhood walk, ending at our house for peanut butter bars! Surprisingly, the neighborhood walk was actually Kyle's idea. A good idea too.

Oh Kohen

-He does what he wants. He is head strong and stubborn. But as soon as we get mad at him he immediately asks for a hug. Before going to his time out. He has the most expressive eyebrows. Especially when he is mad.

-He clogs the toilet all the time with his massive amounts of toilet paper. He likes to steal. He steals food from anyone eating around him and when he goes to someone's house he steals toys. Pulling them out of his pockets once we get home. We're working on it...

-He loves his Dad. Sometimes when Kyle calls him Kohen James, Kohen will call him Daddy James right back. He loves going anywhere with Kyle in his truck. And he loves to eat all the pistachios that are in it too. When he forgets that he told dad "Bye" and realizes he left for work he cries, "I wanted a hug, a kwiss and mugga mugga!"

-He loves wearing his "cozy" pants and has a habit of pulling on the collar of his shirt. Even when he's not even wearing a shirt. His hand just tries to pull on it. We used to never be able to get him to stay dressed, now he insists on putting socks and shoes on always. He does not like "jeams" but says he will wear them when he is a dad.

-Apparently I only make eggs on Sundays, probably mostly true, but one day I was making eggs during the week and Kohen asked if we were going to church. When I told him, "No" he said, "Eggs are for church! We eat eggs, then we go to church!"

-The bumps on his tummy are called Molluscum and we went for round 3 at the dermatologist to have them removed. Hopefully we can get them to finally disappear cause it's $180 every time we go.

-For weeks now Kohen will ask me if he can say, "What the hell" and I keep telling him no. I try not to make a big deal, but he will not drop it! And has started asking me in public. It's so fun. "But Grandpa Kelly says it."

Kasen

2 months ago he lost his drone outside in the wind somewhere, well our neighbor found it in their tree and after sending Kyle and Kasen over there 4x to get it, Kyle found it! And it still WORKS! After 2 months of rain and snowstorms, Kasen's drone still works! Lucky lucky boy. I love watching the videos of the neighborhood and the kids he goes out and records, even though he takes my phone to do it.

-A couple weeks ago at church the speaker in sacrament meant to say "condescension" but said "condensation". Kasen looked over at me and said, "Isn't that part of the water cycle?" Haha What a smart kid, but also good job paying attention at church. :)

Tai

Also a cute little talent in the kitchen!

This time last year we were having dinner right before I had Kolt! This year we got together for one last dinner before Kelsey has her baby girl.
Charly Barb got baptized this month! It was a crazy day with Tai's first soccer game then Kohen's first Tball game at the same time, while I had a Senior Portrait Session then meeting in Spanish Fork for the baptism, but we made it all work! Then Kyle went golfing while I went to help my parents move some more. I've been over there helping 4 days this month and they have a long way to go. 4 is how many times we have moved that my dad was there to help us so I'm happy to try to help him.

I grew up in Pleasant Grove with Vikings, Strawberry Days, the G and Purple Turtle.
I moved to this house when I was 4 years old and grew up with some of my best friends on that street.
I have memories of sitting on the roof to watch fireworks, a neighborhood dance performance on the new driveway, riding my bike down the hill with no hands, picking out the horse wallpaper that was in my bedroom, sleeping in the backyard in the summer, family dinners, pets and various treasure buried in the backyard and running over to friends houses barefoot.
This month my parents moved out to their new house in Eagle Mountain so I said bye to my childhood home.
The red roof and the red bathroom sink that were there when we moved in will never be forgotten!
Bye house.
