Hoppy Easter

Hoppy Easter!
We had a busy fun filled weekend with lots of friends and family!

Saturday the whole family went to an Easter party at mom and dads house.
Mom is so sweet and got me this Walter Rane 'He is not here' picture that is my favorite Easter picture!  I love the empty tomb because He lives!  He is not there.
We ate lots of yummy food,
 Did quite a few crafts,
 Dyed Easter eggs,
AND had an Easter egg hunt!
This is what grown men look like when they talk to small children :)

That afternoon we went to Cooper's birthday party at Kangaroo Zoo for the first time!  I took Kasen on the slide a couple times and pushed him into one of the bounce houses, but he was NOT liking it!  Finally he climbed into the tigers mouth one, but he wouldn't ever stand up to jump, just crawled around.  That night Kyle had a guys poker night in the basement.  A much better alternative to going to Vegas or Wendover to gamble :)  I was surprised Kyle even planned a "party" because I'm pretty sure he has a little bit of social anxiety and usually doesn't like when I try to plan parties.
 Then the Easter Bunny came!
I use holidays as an excuse to buy things that we need.  I have a hard time buying things otherwise and it sometimes bugs Kyle cause holidays should be for getting fun things you wouldn't get otherwise.
So since Kasen had a total of 8 shirts, one pair of shoes and 2 pajamas that even fit him we used Easter to get him pajamas, shoes and sandals, shorts for summer and a swimsuit! Yay!  I also finally bought him a couple bibs that actually cover his tummy!
Tai got a swimsuit and more pajamas since she only has one pair that fit her too.
He did get some toys though too.  A Thomas the Train bubble maker, a plane kite and some little squirt guns.  The squirt guns are a point of debate between me and Kyle... Growing up my mom didn't have toy guns at our house and I really liked that because guns are not toys, but Kyle thinks the more you expose kids to guns the less curious they will be when they do see a real one and the more you teach them about guns the more they will respect them.  I for sure don't want toy guns around that look like real guns though!  It's not some fun game to pretend to shoot people with guns.
Kasen sure loves them though! #bang
We also got him a life jacket for the boat! His favorite is to buckle up the buckles!
He does it to her car seat, his car seat, the bumbo and her swing.  He loves the buckles!
His little flip flops are my favorite.  We are ready to go play in some water!!
And I love his Easter vest! He is so stinkin cute!
Later we went to Elkridge for dinner with Kyle's family.
And one more Easter egg hunt!
We finally got a pretty good picture with the cousins except Charly was taking a nap so we missed her!
