In Home Session

I photographed my first in home, lifestyle session yesterday and loved it!

I tend to like more of a documentary style of photography so I enjoy when I'm able to just shoot with less pressure to get just formal portrait shots, especially when there are children. 

This lifestyle session was part of a package from when I got to do the fresh 48 session of Hyde a couple months ago.  Except now Ashley lives in Lehi!  What are the chances that both my best friend and Kyle's best friend (Jon) live close enough to us that we don't even have to get on the freeway to see them anymore?! Lucky Ducks.

 Ashley and Steven have an awesome white bed that was perfect.  I don't know how they keep it so white, but I'm pretty sure I want to rent out their bedroom for a studio space in the future.

 Hazel is a natural at posing, she loves the camera and the camera loves her!

 This is another one of my favorite "Motherhood" shots.  Do you see both of them looking at her with all the love in their eyes?!  Ashley and I talk a lot about being moms and she is always so good at encouraging me and inspiring me! Like when she said that, "Every time I sit in this one spot on the couch I see the dust on the ceiling fan, but I'm always holding my baby so I still haven't dusted it, but then I remember that one day when all the clothes are ironed and the house is clean it will be because my kids aren't here anymore.  We need to live in these moments and appreciate the time we have to spend with them."  Always reminding me how important our jobs are.
