Easter Sunday

All week Kasen asked me if it was Saturday yet so that we could dye Easter eggs and lucky for him yesterday was Saturday!
Right as we started he said, "Birds in them, let them hatch!" Haha Not today bud... Sorry.
I just let him go for it and had so much fun watching him.
Every time he'd pull an egg out he's say, "Wow, I love it! It's beautiful!"
And I love how he'd use the wire egg dipper in the beginning, but as soon as he could see the egg he would grab it! Then lick his fingers...
We made the cutest little monster eggs ever! And the mess was totally worth it.
We'd been reading the 7 days until Easter scriptures from a poster in the Friend magazine so this morning we read our last one together before seeing what the Easter bunny left.
It had been on the fridge all week and every time I'd try to read with Kasen he'd just put the magnet over His eye and tell me, "Jesus is a pirate!" Cracks me up!
I did show him pictures of Jesus on the cross, then resurrected and how He's alive now so now Kasen keeps saying, "Jesus is okay! He can go play now! He's resurrected."
They found their treats and didn't even bother taking the wrappers off to chow down on the chocolate!
And now we are all ready to go fishing, swimming and bike riding this summer!
That little fish on the end of Kasen's Buzz Lightyear fishing pole freaked Tai out when it went by her! She was legit terrified of it!
Again trying to tell me that his candy makes him "big and strong!"
The Easter bunny hid the eggs they dyed yesterday, all around our front room, but Kasen wasn't really into hunting for them. He picked up a couple and just wanted to hide them over again! Maybe next year that will be a bigger hit.
Grammy Tammy came to watch the 2nd session of General Conference with us and brought the kids Easter baskets too! They got a fun sprinkler, sunglasses, Kasen got a kite and a paw patrol watch and Tai got some jewelry.
Then we went to dinner at Kyle's parents and all the cousins had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard.
Also, General Conference this weekend was AMAZING, but more on that will be in a future blog post.
Happy Easter!
