Happy Pioneer Day!
This year I finally got to do the Temple to Temple 5K. With like 10,000 other people. Kristi was there too and we never even got to see her.
Got Kyle to come with us to a race this time though!
He and Corby walked the kids in their strollers while the rest of us ran ahead.
I was even able to keep up with Becca and we finished in 25:48! Crazy right! But it was only 2.8 miles and not 3.1... Still I think we would have finished the 5K in under 30 minutes. Yay!
After we finished we walked back and met the kids to walk to the finish again with them.
When we found them Tai was asleep in the back and Kasen hopped out and RAN the last couple blocks with Lyndsey. He loved it, but he was so excited he wasn't running in a straight line and kept cutting people off- sorry!
We got to skip getting shuttled in the buses because Kyle dropped his truck off at the bottom so we got to ride in the back of the truck up to the Eason's car.
It was so much fun!
This was the 9th race I've done, the 5th one this year and might be the last one of this season. I already did one more than I "budgeted" for this year, but there are a few I already know I want to do next year!

When we got home we went swimming in the pool.
It was also a milestone for this kid because he will now run THROUGH the sprinkler, instead of dodging to the side at the last second. Now we just need to get him to jump into the pool or off of the boat and dare get his head wet!
Later we went to a BBQ at Cooper and Beckett's house for Jon's birthday and got to do more sparklers and poppers and watch more fireworks!
Last night we went on our traditional birthday dinner date for Jon and Sydney!
All you can eat sushi for the pregnant woman who is allergic to shellfish. Haha
What a good sport to come with the rest of us :)
