Assorted Activities

Look at this girl's curls!! She gets those bad boys straight from Kyle and his curly little boy mullet. More importantly though she finally has some hair and I am genuinely ecstatic. Usually she asks me for 2 piggy tails- french braids here we come! Also, she sat and brushed my hair for the first time and I'm pretty sure that right there is the #1 reason I needed a little girl. Brush my hair all day every day, I will sit on the couch and nap as you put me to sleep.
 My 2 little puppies.
Then later that night we spent a good chunk of the evening taking pictures of Kasen jumping from chair to chair. Seriously the most fun I had that week, super entertaining!
Tai is all about dressing herself. She has the pants thing down, but has yet to put a shirt on correctly.
We spent a day at Thanksgiving Point and I learned more about all of Kasen and Tai's fears.
Kasen would not hold my hand to walk across the net bridge, even though it meant sitting in an airplane.
Then when he climbed up inside the playplace he got scared and started crying until I went up to get him.
BUT he had no problem going down the dark, twisty slide that Tai would not go down. Except when she sat on my lap... Yes, I fit.
  •  Since Kasen has been so obsessed with colors I got both of them some water colors for Easter. Kasen was so excited that the Easter Bunny gave him "Art!" So we have been doing some "art" lately.
  •  They have both started calling their heads a brain and I kinda want to correct them, but it's just too cute/funny when they tell me they bonked their brain or scratched their brain or that their brain got hurt.
  • When Tai snuggles by the fire with me I ask her if she's roasty toasty and she responds, "No, I TaiLynn!"
  • She goes outside and fills Peeka's bowls with food for us without even being asked. So helpful.
  • Kasen's chore of choice is watering the tree for us and is awesome at reminding us if he can go out and water it.
  • Kasen has definitely had a burst of higher energy lately. Maybe it's just the great weather finally here, but he seriously runs around everywhere. And he's hit the "Why" phase... We've found that if we ask him a question instead of answering why a million times that he will forget to keep asking why.
  • He loves watching cupcakes being created on one of his tablet shows. I hope he learns lots about baking yummy things and piping for me!
  • We've been trying to teach him how to eat only one piece of popcorn at a time, but even as he is saying it back to us, he cannot help but eat his popcorn by the HANDFULS. Which makes a big mess.
  • We are known for going back and forth saying, "I love you", "I love you too", "I love you three", "I love you four", etc... so the other day I said, "I love you infinity!" and Kasen responded "I love you infinity....and beyond!" It was the best thing ever.
  • Sometimes when Tai is in her bed at night she asks me if there is "no lava?" Haha Nope, no lava. So funny.
I have been super busy with photo sessions this month. Actually I had 4 in 1 week!
Monday I went to Logan to photograph my brother Josh and Marissa's graduation photos.
While we were there Kasen was running (fast like his favorite animal, the cheetah, in his new tennis shoes) and fell flat into a mud puddle! He just laid there in it for a minute and got up so sad that he was all covered in mud!
Wednesday I got to photograph my sister, EmmaLee's bridal session at Camp Williams.
Friday I was in Brigham City to do senior portraits for my cousin, Brielle. Still crazy to me that she is this old, but is so beautiful!
Last session was Saturday morning to do EmmaLee's engagement session.
After some formal pictures they had a paint fight and it was so fun to photograph!
ALL the images were edited and delivered by Monday! Go me!
AND we still made time for our monthly temple date that same week too.
