Fourth of July celebrations started on Friday morning when we had breakfast at my parents house, while Josh and Marissa were visiting from Arizona!
The next day was The Fourth of July and Kyle finally got to go fishing with Trevor and Corby. Trevor took them on his fishing boat up to Strawberry and Kyle caught me a salmon! So excited!
I took Kasen and Tai over to the snow cone shack to get them a snap, crackle and pop 4th of July snowcone. There were poprocks and a flag on top :)

Then we just hung out and had a little photo sesh after me and Tai painted our nails red.
Kasen insisted on wearing his 4T American flag shirt from last year, which worked out well cause he and Hank got to be twinners. We went over to their house, with the Gneitings, for a BBQ, just like we did a couple years ago! Krista and Will came to have dinner with us too.
Photo recreation from 2 years ago.
Once it got dark Lindsay opened all her glow sticks and we walked over a couple streets to do fireworks. It was like a kids glow stick parade walking down the street! Tai would scream when they got loud, but she never cried. Once the big ones were done we did some poppers and sparklers though and she liked those.
Walking back we passed a firetruck on their way to a grass fire behind our street. Luckily the fire was out before the firetruck arrived.
I love my country. Is it perfect? No. But I still believe that America is the greatest country in the world because of what is possible and the fact that we at least have the goal of liberty and justice for all, along with the right we each have to pursue happiness. We have the freedom to build whatever life we want. All we have to do it go catch it.
Happy Fourth of July!
