Splash Pads and Parties

We've been able to pack in quite a bit of splash pad fun the last couple weeks with lots of friends. Hopefully it holds me over until I get the guts to ever leave my house again by myself with 3 kids!
We went to the Vineyard Splash Pad with Ashley and Erynn. Luckily didn't get rained on that day.
We've been to the Spalsh pad here in Eagle Mountain a couple times with EmmaLee. And then to the Herriman Splash Pad with Whitney, my mission companion! Kasen insists that he only wants to play at the "dry park" but I make him wear his swimsuit and sandals anyways and he usually ends up getting in the water a little bit.
We also got to go the the funnest birthday party EVER! Lindsay scored big with Knox's birthday cause she found these blow up race cars that were perfect. The kids ran around the yard squealing, playing bumper cars with them.
They all swam with them in the pool,
And then snuggled up in them for their very own backyard, drive in movie theater while they ate their chocolate ice cream cake and watched Trolls World Tour!
How stinkin cute is that?! Kids have the life. I'm so glad they have good friends to grow up with.

He and Tai have lots of big changes coming in the next 3 weeks so I hope it goes well for them. We already moved both of them to the third row in the car so I'm grateful they can both buckle themselves up and that Kasen is kind enough to help Tai unbuckle herself when we get out. He keeps telling her to watch his lesson so she can learn how to do it herself! Then they'll both be moving to new bedrooms down in the basement the day before we bring Kohen home (Tai will be in a new twin size bed) and then 2 weeks after that Tai starts prechool and Kasen starts kindergarten (FINGERS CROSSED).
Right now they seem excited about all of it... They helped pick and paint their bedrooms a little bit and Kasen has been counting down the days until Kohen is born and telling Tai all about her preschool teachers.
They are both so stinkin smart too! Blows my mind. Tai has been able to write her name for a long time now. She knows all her letters and numbers and shapes etc. Kasen can sound words out and "reads" power words and also does a little addition and subtraction. Thanks to number blocks, he asks about multiplication too. He counts way over 100 all the time and asks to play with the calculator on my phone so he can "ples" big numbers. I also credit Upstart to lots of his fun facts and reading. Tai sits and watches him do Upstart so they are learning a ton together. Reading to kids every night must work too. Ready for school!

-Lately Kasen has been asking, "Mom, can I ask you something?" all the time, but most of the time he just tells me something so I've been trying to explain ask vs. tell.
-Tai loves cooking with me. Not just baking at the counter, but she pulls a chair up to the stove and wants to help pour and stir whatever it is that I am cooking. She's started asking for a fried egg and toast for breakfast, like what I have been eating, but makes sure I don't put "black salt" on it.
-They made up a fun new game, after we played an FHE game one night, called Dice Dance. They roll the dice and if Tai gets a 3 or he gets a 5, like how old they are, then they have to do a dance! I love it!

6 more days!
