So Many Cousins

Well my work as a mother is done! All it took was finally teaching Kasen how to turn his clothing and underwear right side out. After he showed me I told him he is getting so big and his response was, "Yeah I am! I don't even need you anymore mom!"
But man do I need him.
He gives me good morning hugs and sings me songs. My favorite of which is I'm Still Standing from SING. Any time he sees a piano he "plays" it while singing that song. He also sings Greatest Showman and a variety of Daniel Tiger songs.
Whenever I ask him for a good morning hug Tai will hurry over and say, "Hug!" so she can get one too. Almost every day this week Kasen has told me that Tai is his best buddy.
The brown spot of hair on the back of Kasen's head is getting more noticeable. A friend commented on it for the first time and it's so funny how his spot is dark when Kyle has a white stripe of hair on his head.
Kasen also scraped his toe this week and I think it's the first time he's really bled that much because he kept telling me it was paint when I told him we needed to wash the blood off. "No, it's just paint."
He thinks cheeks are legit called cheekies.
Tai is learning to say "I love you" (while poking her eye), tells me when her feet are "dirty", sings "happy birthday", says "thanks", "welcome" and "mine", asks for kisses when she gets hurt, and gives killer GLARES. She has her glare and side eye down! And still opens her mouth giant wide to share any food with me. I love how much she loves her "daddy" too.
When accomplishes new things she's always so excited to come tell you she "did it!" and is always concerned about all the "bug"s.
She's all done with her night time bottle, is forward facing in her car seat and has just started crying to eat her meals on a stool next to Kasen.
She also knows how to say "glasses" and "back on" and a million other cute things.
We spent a good 3 hours outside in the pool on Tuesday. The weather has been perfectly not too hot.
Tai kept putting her towel in the pool though so every time she did I'd wring it out over her head and tell her to stop. After the 2nd time Kasen kept trying to take her towel to her in the pool, just so he could watch me keep doing it to her. He thought spraying Tai was so funny.
Wednesday morning I let them go paint outside. By 10:45am I was all "good mommed" out!
I'm not sure all the work is worth it if I dislike my children more afterwards than if I would have just turned on the TV instead. I had to scrub paint off of our swing cushions, hose Tai off, wash the easel and paintbrushes and paint containers etc...

But then they found the stroller and played with that the rest of the evening. They took turns pushing each other around and were loving it! I don't know how Kasen hasn't ripped it yet from sitting in it, but Tai knows how to say "ride" and "uh me" which means push me! If someone isn't holding it when she tries to sit in it then she will fall on her face.
I was doing this exact same thing with Jacob just 26 years ago.
Must have been an extra fun night though because this is how she woke up the next morning!
Kasen here thinks this is his new spot in the stroller- guess I'm all set to have 3 now.
Sariah planned us another lunch date. We've been lunch datin since the early 90s and it's the best.
Later that day we headed to the splash pad, then to redeem the free shaved ice for filling up our punch card! Only took 5 times.
We walked there again with Easons, Gneitings and Juarez families except there are so many bees swarming us when we go now! They play music there though and the 6 kids had a bomb dance party while waiting for their shaved ice!
COUSIN TIME!
This is the first cousin picture with have with Natasha in it, even though we are missing Dakota, Nathan and Hope in this one. Natasha and her 3 girls are here visiting from Kuwait so we had a family BBQ up in Ogden to see her. And Hayden's new baby.
Thanksgiving 2013
Natasha is a little older than me, but we all thought she was so fun for taking us cruising on Washington Blvd, moving traffic cones to block streets, visits to the cemetery and all sorts of shenanigans! I love how the gap has pretty much closed with all the cousins too, makes it that much more fun to all get together!
Can't go a summer without Zeppes gelata! Even if Tai spits up in the car after eating too much sugar... that has happened twice now. We've got to play with Naomi THREE Saturdays in a row now and Kasen loves "MeOmi"
This morning we had breakfast with Natasha one last time before she left and because her dad owns the building we all got Waffle Love for free!
Then free train rides and free balloon animals at the Farmers Market! Good Day with cousins.
First cousins, second cousins, and cousins twice removed. ALL the cousins! I love cousins.
 Until next time!
Later we had dinner at Jake and Kristi's for Dad's birthday.
My favorite was Kasen: "I. am. a. Robot. Kasen." complete with his robot arms!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
