Bear Lake

We just got home from the best vacation at Bear Lake!
Grammy Tammy took all the family camping at a fun little KOA cabin near the lake and there were so many fun things to do there that we didn't even have time to do all of them! Lucky duck Kyle was the only one that didn't have to take off work to go either.
We drove up Sunday afternoon in time to make dinner together and hang out.

Both that night and the next morning we walked over to the slides. There were 3 yellow slides and surprisingly, Kasen went straight for the biggest one and went down without any hesitation.
He was doing all sorts of tricks: Airplane on his tummy, backwards on his tummy and holding hands with Naomi.
Tai preferred to play in the dirt.
We also went over to their playground and jumped on the giant jumping pillow and blow up jumping pad. Kasen and I raced across and he beat me every time.
The kids liked the teeter totter and the spinning toy too.
That afternoon my mom rented a speed boat for us to go play on the lake. We learned that they don't rent POOL toys there, but they do rent PULL toys. So we were able to go tubing behind the boat!
Thanks for driving Kyle :)
We couldn't get Kasen to ride on the tube, but Tai came with me! She was loving her toes getting wet and as soon as she said boat we got back in.
Then I went on a ride with Emma! I got a little bit of whip lash, but it was worth it! I love the tube!
And the water wasn't even as cold as I thought it would be.
That night Kasen fell off of his bed 3 times. The last time he fell off the side next to the wall and was under the bed! He ended up sleeping with us after that. He would also tell us that he had to go to the bathroom then just stand there and say his "penis is all out of pee" and never go when we'd take him. Such a stinker.

Tuesday morning after breakfast we went swimming at the pool. There was the perfect wading pool for the kids and Kasen rocked the arm floaties in the big pool.
On the way back we picked up the KOA's craft of the day and the kids got to put together little foam speed boats.
Grammy took the kids for a walk to find rocks to paint then came back to camp and painted rocks with them with glow in the dark paint! For some reason Kasen's favorite color to use whether it's crayons, chalk or paint is black. Kinda weird, but he loves his black rock! When he was done I pained a big yellow, bear lake slide on it for him though. He told me it was pretty.
The second Tai found her rock she was pretending it was a phone so for Tai I painted a phone rock for her.
Kasen has been holding his rock ever since. Except when it got put outside when he accidentally hit Tai in the face with it once we got home today.
After lunch we went on the boat again, but it was a pontoon boat to go fishing!
We asked Kasen if he wanted to swim first and he said, "No, I'm going fishing."
He finally got to use the Buzz Lightyear pole he got for Easter and was so happy about that.
He was so stinkin cute too! "Hey come here fishy fishy! I have some food!"
He didn't catch a fish, but Kyle caught one! After we didn't get anymore we let it go.
Not long after that he was OUT.
Oh Captain My Captain

Like I said, she has her glare and side eye down!

Trolling didn't work too well for mom. It tangles her line all up!
For dinner we went to Jake's Place and had the yummiest Raspberry Cheesecake shake I have ever had! Raspberry is the only fruit I will eat in my ice cream and since they are famous there, I had to get one and it was delicious. So glad it didn't disappoint.
That night we played Wacky 6 before bed and Emma beat me by 1 point!

We packed up and headed home this morning, after stopping for breakfast with Aunt Jacci and Uncle Ger at Herm's Inn (Kyle tried eggs Benedict for the first time and loved it) and then for Gelati at Karie Anne's with Marissa and Josh.
We loved Bear Lake!
Thank you so much Mom for an amazing family vacation.
