BUBBLE RUN

I wasn't going to run any more races this year, but this one had been on my list and came back on sale for $20 instead of $50 so I went for it!

 So Becca and Ashley came with me to run my last race of the season today!

The Bubble Run in SLC

Which they actually should have called the bubble walk, because almost NO ONE was running.

And what is up with race planners not knowing how far a 5K is?! It is 3.107 miles, but the last 2 races I have done have only been 2.8... So my time was 27:27 today.

My PR on the treadmill got down to 30:49 minutes to run 3.11 miles this week though! Yay!

I didn't love the course, just zig-zagging through the parking lot at the state fair park, but we ran through 4 bubble bogs though so that was fun. And at the end there was a big bubble party.

And our swag bag was pretty sweet! We got headbands AND tattoos!

 I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love my running buddies!

I even made us our own hashtag:

We've also spent a couple days swimming this week!

Thursday we went swimming at Katey's parents house for the first time and it was so fun.

I put arm floaties on Tai for the first time and it was so funny. She'd just sit there, frozen in the water, floating. Freeze floating. She didn't like it much at first, but she started to move around a bit later.

I took Kasen's life jacket off to get him to swim with me, but before I could even get in with him, he got in without me and was soon under the water. When I pulled him out he said, "I want to stay up, I want to stay up! Don't take my life jacket off. I drowned!"

Yay for learning life lessons.

He had fun jumping on the tramp with the hose though too!

Wednesday my mom and I used her Mother's Day pedicure certificate to get our toes done!

And to get Cold Stone again.

Does 2 years in a row make it a tradition yet?

 

 After our toes were done we had to go show them off at the pool so we stopped at Emma's pool to swim for a little bit, even though she was at work this time.

Kasen found a lost diving ring and liked throwing it then telling me or my mom to go get it for him!
