In October, President Nelson challenged the women of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year.
I accepted that challenge, but chose to modify it a little bit by reading the Book of Mormon between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
So today I completed that challenge. I read 18 pages a day, for 30 days.
I'm not good at remembering who each person in the Book of Mormon was (yet). I can't just hear a name and always remember what that person did, whether they were a good guy or a bad guy or which story they were a part of. I don't remember which city they lived in, if they were a Lamanite or a Nephite or any manner of -ites, BUT I do know that they each played a role in teaching us about how the Lord wants to bless us. We have each been given so many gifts.

What I learned that really stood out to me was that:
Jesus Christ's tender mercies, miracles and healing are available to each one of us if we will but humble ourselves and have faith in Him.
He really does love and care about us one by one.
Jesus Christ is our Savior and He lives!

and with Him, everything else." C.S. Lewis
