Camels, Candies and Christmas Traditions

Everyone had the same idea about planning all the Christmas things early so our first 2 weekends in December are packed full and our second 2 weekends are completely empty!
By December 2nd all 3 family Christmas parties had already happened.

The last 2 years I have always been too late to get tickets for this live nativity in Alpine, but this year I got us some! It was raining that night, but after my Grandpa Peterson's viewing we headed over.
Right after Kasen told Kyle to come see a dead guy...
Anyway, I didn't know that the live nativity was a whole little town of Bethlehem set up!
There were soldiers and the animals and the wise men, then we got to listen to a choir of angels sing before we went in to see baby Jesus. Everything was so loud and so crazy, but I loved that it was calm and quiet in the barn with the baby. I think Tai's favorite was the camels, she had to go back after we left them.
Friday was my Grandpa's funeral and it was good to see family.
This is probably the first time this year all my siblings have been together in the same place. This picture is also before Tai ripped both my earrings out and lost one of them inside the church...
Also, while all Grandpa's decedents were singing Child's Prayer my kids pushed a bottle of hand sanitizer off of the podium, which then bounced off of the casket! They are lucky that they are cute once in a while.

Saturday McKenna invited all the family over to her house to start our Gingerbread House making tradition again! We did it for 10 years, then stopped for 10 and this year it's been resurrected.
Grandma Sandy even makes all the pieces for the houses homemade!
Natasha's party on the inside!

 Aaaaaand Next Gen
Then we made everyone eat Warheads. Just for some extra fun!

 Kasen- no more candy!
Yup, that is how well he listens...
Right after Gingerbread houses we went straight to temple square to meet Kyle's family!
Every year we go to temple square with them and watch all the little Christmas movies together. Except Kelly was super bummed this year because they have stopped playing LukeII.
Kasen was most excited to go up to the Christus so that he could see outer space.
Then after I caught Tai, before she fell head first out of the stroller and saved her life, we all went out to dinner at Chili's.
He is the gift. Discover the gift this Christmas. :)

Yesterday, after Collins baby blessing, we went straight up to the Forsyth Family Christmas Party at Ryan's house.
This year, instead of having Santa come, Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth gave all the great grand kids their presents from them to open together. Grandma actually gave us the money to buy and wrap the gifts so then she got to see what she got them too!
Tai got a cute dress and Kasen got a CatBoy figurine that he has had in his hand ever since!
Even while wearing his fairy wings...
He's been watching Tinkerbell Pirates and thought these wings were the coolest things ever.
Bless his heart.
Super busy weekend right?!
Merry Merry Christmas!
