The Week Before

 Thursday we made sugar cookies!
And the best part is when Tai turned the mixer on full blast right after I added 2 cups of flour.
I wish we could see that part better in the time lapse video I made of it!
Also, Tai keeps smiling with these duck lips in her pictures. Why?!
Later we watched Hank and Quinn and got to share our cookies with them!

Sunday was crazy busy!
Kyle worked from 7pm-4:30am that night and then we left at 7:30 that morning to go to Tommy's baby blessing in Roy. It was their Christmas program and they have the neat tradition of singing Silent Night in a variety of languages so I went up with Jake to sing the Portuguese version.
Unfortunately Jake accepted a job at SpaceX in Texas and is moving there the first week of January. Dakota came back from Washington and the very next month Jake is going to Texas. Gonna miss him!
Right after that we went to Jon and Sydney's for Salem's baby blessing.
From there we went to meet Kyle's family at Golden Corral for dinner with his Grandpa.
I didn't know Santa was coming, so my kids got to see him after all.
But they were not happy about it!
He came mid ice cream cone so I was rushing to clean my kids off and Kasen kept saying his pants were dirty, they each only had one shoe on, but I guess we got a Santa picture. Even if it was over a table of dirty dishes.
After eating chocolate pudding, ice cream and cotton candy Tai threw up in the car on the way home.
I never heard her cough or spit or anything so it was well into her car seat before we smelled in and knew it had happened.
Last week Kasen said he wanted to sleep under the Christmas tree. I thought that was such a fun idea so that night I told him we could all sleep under the Christmas tree together. We got out pillows and blankets and watched Home Alone. At one point Kasen was yelling, "Run away kid! Run away kid!" We told him the kid's name is Kevin, so then it was "Run away Kevin!" The next morning he asked to watch Kevin again.
This was a tradition that lived and died all in one night though. The kids would not go to sleep and after an hour of being smashed in the face with every available limb he has I went to my own bed.
When I woke up I found that Kasen had peed his pants, all over my living room floor.
I won't be trying that tradition again for quite a few years.
 Kids...
They were cracking me up during lunch the other day, pretending to be lions. And how Tai copies everything Kasen does. They were Roaring and having so much fun.
They always stand to eat too. I try to get them to sit on the stools so that they can reach their plates at the counter, but they insist on standing at the table. Even though I turn off the TV during meals.
 Tunnel Kasen!
They've also been playing with Meeko more now that she's inside for the winter.
Whenever she comes up to eat they sit by her and pet her.
