At the last minute we decided to go camping at Strawberry Reservoir over the weekend!
We parked our trailer and went in to have lunch and by the time we opened the door to go back outside there were 21 cows camped out right in front of our trailer!
Kasen tried quite a few things to get them to go away, but they did not care at all!
We did, however, take the chance to teach our kids all about what cow pies, dingleberries and branding are and watch the calves drink milk. Kasen wanted to go see the tags on their ears to see how much they cost so we let him know what the tags are really for too.
Kohen was happy just playing with the buckets on his head.
Once the kids were all asleep I beat Kyle at Gin like a million times.
While Kohen took a nap the next morning we were hanging out outside and Kasen made what he calls our family circle! This is where we played another riveting few rounds of 20 questions. Which is a lot more fun when Tai doesn't change her mind about what she's thinking of, after I already asked a bunch of questions! Kasen had us guess drool again and then a vent. Haha
Kasen and Tai both have multiple holes in their camping pants! And Kohen has multiple patches of dirt on his face.
Later that day Katey's family came to play for a little bit and brought the ladder game. Poor Tai tried throwing one time and when she missed she was too embarrassed to play anymore. Kyle's mom and Jack came up for dinner and we tried a yummy new dutch oven ziti pasta that was SO good! Kyle took Kasen and Tai with them to go try fishing, but I guess it was way too shallow and mossy where they were at, so no fish.
On our way home the next day we stopped at Dairy Keen for lunch in Heber. It's kinda expensive, but I guess the miniature train running along the ceiling makes it all worth it.
We've been camping 4 times this year with 2 more trips planned. Kyle says next year he wants to go 10 times. Challenge accepted.
