When Kasen played T-ball there were a couple girls on his team so for some reason I assumed that soccer would be co-ed too. The only reason I signed Tai up was because Kasen had her PUMPED to be on his team and help him score goals. But I found out girls do NOT play on the boys team. So now my schedule is insane.
Kasen and Tai both had their first games last night. The Green Lilypads and the Silver Sharks! I wasn't sure how it would even go with Tai because she missed her first practice and has been in a little bit of a phase of "wanting me", but she blew me away with how well she played!
She was going after the ball and even scored the first point for her team! She was so excited and ran over to us, "Kasen! I got our very first point!" Every time her team scored she'd run over to tell Kasen how many points they had. And Kasen was cheering loud the whole time. "Go team Lilypads! Pads pads pads!"
Tai told me "Thank you for bringing me to play soccer!" Makes the craziness worth it.
Go Tai! And go Lilypads!
And then there are the boys... they mostly just kept kicking the ball out of bounds.
They can't wait for their next games on Saturday!
Awesome! It's so fun to see them excited to play sports.
