Christmas jammies, Christmas cookies and Christmas presents,
It was all my favorite!
These are the jammies I tried to order last year, but third time is the charm. Took ordering them 3 times since last year to finally get them here. And I guess they were worth the wait!
We got an adapter so that we could hook up our Wii again so we all went downstairs and played Wii bowling and Mario Kart together.
Trying the trendy Christmas book picture...
Kyle made a delicious Christmas Eve dinner. Smoked tri tip, cheesey potatoes, bread and salad. We took a plate over to Karin Centers across the street since she was home alone. Grammy Tammy came to have dinner with us too. I'm glad she made it safe because Grandma almost got run over by a reindeer! She hit a deer on her way to our house. For Christmas she gave us a 1 year family pass to Thanksgiving Point! We're going to have so much fun using that all year long! I love that gift!
Then we made our Peppermint Blossom Cookies for Santa! While we watched The Santa Clause.
Kolt yelling,
and Kohen picking his nose.
Then us trying to teach Kolt about eating cookie dough and getting him to share a lick.
Kolt does not like sharing yet...
And Tai squishing cookie dough on her face is another reason why I don't let kids help me in the kitchen when I am making food to share with other people.
Kolt threw a tantrum most of the night after that. He chased me to the bathroom and after I shut the door, he smashed his head into the corner of the door jamb. He got a very big "egg goose" too (in Kohen's words). Probably the biggest of us all.
After the movie we sang Silent Night and sent them to bed. Kohen got to sleep with Kasen and Tai downstairs. Tai gave him her bed and she and Kasen slept on the floor next to him.
Christmas morning we heard them around 7:45am and got up to go read the Christmas Story with them before going to see what Santa brought!
The treats are where it's at for Kolt!
Then I looked over and saw Kasen helping Kolt put his new slippers on and about melted. I love watching their cute relationships with each other. The ones when they aren't making each other cry.
Tai got a jewelry box and a certificate to start tumbling classes in January.
And Kohen got Monster Jam trucks WITH tickets to go see Monster Jam with Dad in January. He also gets to start playing Basketball too.
Kasen helping Kolt open more of his presents. I love him.
While we weren't looking, Kolt snuck over to find more treats that Santa didn't quite finish. Our own little Cookie Monster.
Kasen and Tai were trying to see if anything was actually in the cages that Santa left for them, but they couldn't find any animals. Kyle brought them out separately (cause Santa doesn't bring pets) and they were so excited! Kohen was a little bummed he didn't get a turtle, but only for a second.
Meet Kasen's pied ball python, Bellatrix. She is almost 6 months old and is about 21in. long.
and Tai's hedgehog, Sprinkles. Because her quills look like sprinkles! She is only 2 months old. I love the dark coloring on her face.
They each got a book about their new pets and jumped right into reading all about how to take care of them.
Kolt also especially loves Sprinkles!
Then the kids opened the presents they picked out for each other.
That's my family. I just love all of them so much!
Kohen got a new Spin suit, since his other one was lovingly worn to death AND he got a RC car that can drive on walls and ceilings! We had such a fun morning.
Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth came over to have Christmas morning breakfast casserole with us and then later we went to visit Grandma Melanie and Jack. Kolt got Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads, Kohen got more legos for his new lego table, Kasen got a Hedwig and quill ink pen, and Tai got leotards for her tumbling class and earrings with an earring holder.
They also have Christmas gift money from both Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth and Great Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth to go pick out a gift they still want. They will love that!
Lastly, we visited Grandpa Kelly and had hot chocolate. The kids got a few more treats to go along with their tubing excursion we all got to go on earlier.
It wasn't until we were all getting dressed to leave that I realized all of us got new sweat pants for Christmas! Haha It was a comfy, cozy Christmas this year!
Krista and Will had our family this year for Christmas and gave the kids their gifts early. They've been having fun with them since then too! Thanks Krista!
Hayden and Karissa also stopped by Christmas Eve to give us this magnet board that Hayden made. The note he wrote on the back about something I wrote to him on his mission about enduring well about made me cry, but then we found the gift Karissa left for Kyle and the laughter balanced it right back out again. We also have a sign of Hayden's handwriting that says, I Love You and a quote of his from one of the news segments, "Time is one thing we don't get back. You've got to make the best of what we have, while we have it."
Merry Christmas!
