Rainbow of Fun

Tai turned EIGHT on Tuesday! Happy Birthday Tai Lynn!
Tai got to be spoiled the whole weekend before her birthday and the whole weekend after. Such a loved and lucky girl. Friday night Grammy Tammy took her on a date to see Beauty and The Beast at Hale Center Theater. Afterwards, they came straight to our ward Christmas Party, where Tai made it in time to sing 'He Is The Gift' with me and 3 other Sisters. She was so sad thinking she might have miss singing, but they made it!
I love that she wanted to sing with me.
The next morning Maya came over to pierce Tai's ears! I told Tai she could get them pierced when she turned 8 so that's what we did. I told her she could cry if she wanted to and asked if she wanted me to hold her hand. She said no and then didn't even flinch! But we could tell she was super nervous. She's been super worried about wearing her snow hat, lying down to sleep, and taking a bath too.
The night before her birthday Grandma Forsyth asked if we could go shopping to get her some clothes for her birthday. We went to Old Navy and Tai picked out quite a few cute dresses and a couple other outfits. Tai loved her little shopping spree!

This year was the first time I've had a kid go to school on their birthday so I brought lunch to the school to eat with Tai and her friends there, per her request. I brought her favorite Mo'Bettahs kalua pork, rice and a spam musubi. She discovered how much she loves that when we got free meals at Mo'Bettahs grand opening a couple weeks ago.
And for dinner, sprinkle pancakes!
Right after Tai's baptism we knocked out her birthday party that same day. It was a Rainbow Painting party with her friends and cousins. Aunt Kyley made another amazing cake for her party too!
And I made some rainbow cupcakes leftover from the baptism party.
Jaci, Tai, Quinn, Charly, Kallie,
Collins, Rowan, Maggie, Reagan, Nayvi
Tai also requested a piñata for her party. I told my kids they could each have a piñata once so this is her year. I told the kids there were rainbow seeds in it, so when skittles started falling out of it, Kohen kept asking where the rainbow seeds were! lol
Jaci gave her a jellybean yeti and Maggie gave her an American Girl camera set up.
The Days gave her a kids digital camera and Rowan gave her a puppy playdoh set.
Karissa's girls gave her an art kit and and Nayvi gave her a journal set.
Aunt Lyndsey gave her water bottle stickers and earrings and Quinn gave her a candle making kit.
Both Grandma Melanie and Gemma gave her more beads to make bracelets and Roxie came late and gave her a gel nail polish kit. Grandpa Kelly also gave her some clothes and shoes.
Thank you so much to everyone that came to make Tai's day special and for all the nice gifts!
She had quite the party of a day! And I am so glad it's over.
We love our Tai Lynn!
Today we tried out her gel nail kit and realized when we were done that we had picked Glinda and Elphaba colors! Yay Wicked!
