Kasen and Tai got to play on the same basketball team this season! Soccer wasn't coed when they both did soccer, but basketball is! And Kasen loved it. He says he wants to play high school and college basketball.
I was bummed that they had practice on Fridays at 6:40pm. We missed lots of practices for birthday parties and other plans on a Friday night, but Kasen still improved so much.
Today was their playoff game and Kasen made this shot! He also made another shot and a free throw! Most points he's ever had in a game. This was the first time they've ever had the players shoot free throws though so when Kasen was supposed to he had no idea what was happening. The other coach was yelling and I had to go onto the court to show him where to stand and tell him to shoot the basketball because the refs and the coaches just stood there, not show him what he was supposed to do!!
Tai is mostly still scared of the ball (like me), but she is an excellent blocker! She gets down there and blocks so good! She also likes being the one to pass the ball in.
I loved watching them get to play together! All the grandparents got to come to at least one game during the season too, so thank you for your support.
They lost their game today 14-16, but it was so close the whole time!
So proud of them.
